Maat or Shu emblem

The ostrich feather was the emblem of Maat, the goddess of equilibrium, truth and cosmic order, but also of god Shu¹. Curiously the amulet is barely described by Petrie and Andrews as such. There are a wooden one in the British Museum² and a few cowroid seals
