The base of the nefer is ovale and assumed to be a heart surmounted by a wind-pipe with an upper crossbar 1,2, but a heart or lungs also supporting a windpipe in the sma. Nefer means beauty or excellence2. The amulet was part of collars1,2 only. This amulet is typical of Dynasty 181,2 and was made in gold, faience and a few stones2
