Pakhet was a fierce lioness-headed goddess known from the Middle Kingdom1. Lioness figures over prostrate captives are usually interpreted as Pakhet amulets1. This might be the case of the left amulet below. However, the right amulet is described as a Pakhet amulet by the MET although not at all lioness-headed
