Seals were used to denote property. Most are trunked pyramids with or without hieroglyphs under the base1. They are uncommon (seals were mainly scarabs, frogs, hedgehogs, etc.) and made in green or blue materials with limestone and basalt. They were placed on the fingers or on the torso of mummies1 of Dynasty 26 onwards
