These amulets, which represent the archaic seated royal falcon on a facade palace were first designed to associate the king with the Horus name1, and later on any wearer. They are in ivory, bone, gold, carnelian, and glass. Some are pierced twice as parts of bracelets. From the Old Kingdom to the Ptolemaic Period1
