The two fingers amulet represents the index and the medium finger and is not always in dark materials (basalt, obsidian, steatite and glass)1,2. Its frequent location near the embalming incision suggests that the fingers of the embalmer prevented the entry of malevolent forces into the mummy2. This amulet was only retrieved in Late Period burials
